A matching gift is an easy way to double the value of your contribution! Thousands of companies have matching gift programs that "match" employee non-profit contributions (sometimes, spouses and board members can also participate in this program).
How do I secure a matching gift for my flaame donation?
Contact your human resources department to find out if your company has a matching gift program. If they have one, your company likely uses one of two ways to secure your additional matching gift to flaame:
Most common - Ask your company for its matching gift form and fill out the "Donor" section. Mail it to flaame when you send in your donation. flaame will complete the "Charity" section of the form, and return it to your company. This confirms that we received your gift and requests your company's support through matching.
Not as common - Make your donation to flaame. flaame will send you a letter acknowledging your generous contribution. Take this letter to your matching gift program coordinator or human resources department who will distribute a matching gift to flaame.
Why should I give a matching gift to flaame?
Matching gift programs let you increase the power of your donation with very little effort on your part. It helps flaame by providing added funds to support our cause.
What's more, flaame considers your corporation's matching gift as part of your total contribution. Therefore, your $50 gift can become a $100 or $150 gift to flaame.
